Hip Hop Off by Alexandra
Today was the day we showcased our dance moves. Each group from different classes have been selected to show off their own dances or the dances that they have been taught from our instructor, Jess. The people who were chosen to dance had to practice hard to be better than before.
This afternoon in the multipurpose room the whole school watched all the dances. The best dance group I liked was Room Twelve because the dancers added different unique moves to the dance which they put together themselves. They looked amazing.
But the funniest one I liked was Room Six because they just made me laugh.

Reading Test by Liza

On Tuesday I had my first reading test with Mrs Golder. I was scared that I might move down a level. When I started my test I read a story called, "Captain Kirk" silently, then had to read it out loud to her. When I had finished reading the story, the teacher gave me a lot of questions which I had to answer. Some were easy and some were hard. When I finished my test I was pleased and happy that I had moved up a level.

We Are Honored To Be Your Students, Dancing Sensei by Henry
If you are reading this Jess, we of Room 12 would like to thank you for going out of your way to teach us hip hop moves for 6 weeks. They have been an amazing time.
In the past few weeks, we have developed confidence, style and last of all, had fun! This has been fantastic for us because we were able to create our own dancing routines and we will continue with this. We all hope we will meet you again in the future.
With great honor,
Henry.

Duffy Award. Caught being good- By Leanah
On Monday the 11th of June I received a caught being good book. I received it at a school assembly, in front of the whole school. My teacher chose me because at reading time I had answered all her question that she had asked me with all the correct answers. I was allowed to chose the book that I wanted to read, so I chose Rocket And Groot!!!!

Hip Hop. It's been great. -By Katrina.
Hip hop has been great this term.
We first started off with a warm up followed by a game. When all that was finished we then had to get into our groups and practice our routines. After getting into our groups we all then separated apart.
The group I was in had me, Izabella, Pupuke and Alexandra. When my group found out we were going to perform in front of the class we were shocked because it felt terrifying.
To me it felt standing in front of the whole class and dancing felt scary. While dancing I had butterflies in my stomach. I felt like I was the only one who wasn't being energetic but that was fine.
After a long time of dancing I was very sweaty and tired.

Hip Hop-By Mary-Ruth
Last Tuesday, Room 12 were with Jess, our Hip Hop dance teacher. I was so excited we were doing hip hop because it is one of my favourite things to do.
We were doing some really difficult stretches but at least I was warm. After we were all warmed up, we had to learn some new moves to the song Lean and Dab by ILoveMemphis. At first it was really hard but when I kept on practising, it started to get easier.
