🎵The New National Anthem!🎵 by Tristan

Today Jessica, Leaaepeni and I, created a new version of the New Zealand nationa lanthem as part of our learning. We had to clarify and change some of the words like 'nations' and 'entreat' to 'countries' and 'please'. I have to admit that Jessica rewrote most of the sentences but I still helped.

If you've read our version of the national anthem tell me what you think about it.

  1. Kia ora Room 12,
This is really cool Tristen & Jessica. I like the way that only a few words have changed and it's still in the rhythm. How long did it take you to make it? Next time You could say more about how you made up the new words or add the music with it and people listening could sing along in there head or something. Overall great job.
    Kind regards,
    Kayla

I enjoyed reading your version of our National Anthem, I found your version interesting and intriguing. Did you think about adding the thought process on how you came up with your lyrics? How long did it take for you to come up with your version of the National Anthem? Overall, I really liked your blog post.

  3. Hi room 12/Tristan.
Im Ammalina from Parkview School in Christchurch.
I really like your new anthem.I dont know why but I like the fourth verse the best. Maybe you could of made a video of someone sing the new anthem. Did you know what all the words in the old anthem or did you have to search up the meaning in some of them?. Overall this is really good. It takes skill to writing songs and stuff.

  4. Kia Ora I’m Logan from Parkview Parua School,
I really like your version of the National Anthem and think it is super cool. A few questions that I have about it are and how long did it take to make it, and will you make different versions of other national anthems or music? Maybe next time you could do a longer, more difficult song to change the lyrics of. I really enjoyed reading this and hope you do more stuff like this.
    Goodbye from Logan.

  6. Kia ora, my name is Iszac, I am in Year 7 at Parkview Parua school. I liked the words you chose to rewrite our national anthem. You thought hard about what the words meant and how else they could be said. When did you do this activity?
