Vanilla Muffins- By Tupouseini

The ingredients we used to make our muffins was one cup of sugar, four eggs and one and a half cup of S.R.F (Self Rising Flour).

To begin with we whisked the eggs and the sugar until it was the consistency of light and fluffy cream. This time I made sure not to over whip the muffin. After leaving it to cook in the oven for approximately 20 minutes it was over baked and it was burnt but I took off the burnt pieces.

It was yummy!!

Making Mac and Cheese at Foodtech- By Malia

It was another day at food tech. We were making Macaroni and Cheese. We added herbs and all other spices and seasonings. It was like we were professional chefs. We tasted our food and it was actually an excellent dish. Most of the other people liked it as well. It was extremely easy for Riiana and myself to make. I'll be making this at home.

One skill I have learnt for this week is how to dice and slice an onion.

River Talks- By Pupuke.

On the 15th of March half of Room 12 went to a very special and exciting event. We had to walk all the way to the  Omaru River. We were surrounded by other schools like St Helliers and Pt England. We were told the story of it and why we can't go in the water. The water was too dirty and full of germs and unsafe to swim or fish or boat in there. Then we moved to a different place and a woman talked about how we can keep the river clean and what goes in the water from our homes. The extra water from our home go into our rivers and ocean. The bad water goes to the sewers. She showed us some pipes where the bad water can sometimes get mixed up with our fresh water.

Cooking at Technicraft- By Tyra

Today is our fourth day here at cooking tech down at Tamaki College. I really enjoyed cooking with my new partner Sia. When we finally finished cooking this tomato soup we cleaned our kitchen. Eventually we were able to try out our tomato soup. When I put the spoon of tomato soup and rice into my mouth it was really delicious. The only issue we had with our soup was that it was a bit sour because we didn't have enough brown sugar in it.
