Self Manager Award
At the syndicate assembly I received a Superb Self Management Award for showing discipline, controlling my behaviour and showing good behavior in front of the other students. The award was unlimited from Monday to Friday so you had to be good the whole week to earn that certificate. I worked so hard to get that award. I had to show excellence in behaviour wherever I went. Well, because I was showing superb self discipline I was awarded a discipline award.

Senior Syndicate Awards
Syndicate Assembly Awards
I received an award for being responsible and showing respect. I have being trying my hardest to be responsible and respectful in class and to other people. When I received my award I knew that I was showing respect to my classmates. Mika
I received my certificate for being an Independent learner. I have been trying my hardest to work independently. I have noticed that if you work by yourself you get more work completed. Estah

Duffy Book Award
My Duffy Award
On the 9th of March at assembly I was awarded with a book for ‘Caught Being Good” at Reading. I was very impressed with myself because I always enjoy a good book. I love reading especially when I have a lot of them to read. Mrs Golder chose me because I did my homework reading all the time.
My award was a book given by Duffy who supports our school. The book awarded to me is called ‘ROCCO’. I still yet have to read it all. It says that the character was transported to another time and place.
Everyday I read at least half a chapter. I have plenty of time to read it. I love my Duffy Books!

Inter-school Softball
It was steaming hot, as we waited for all the schools to arrive at the tournament. The day was full of intensity, excitement and happiness. It was great to see all the different competitors competing against each other.

Our first game was against Glen Innes Intermediate School. They were very competitive, well skilled and fast. The pitcher was an expert at pitching and their signals were on point but unfortunately we lost.
Our next game was against St. Patricks. We beat them by five to four home runs. They were an awesome challenge and they had a great attitude even when they lost.
Our last game was against Panmure Bridge School. If we had won this game then we would have made it into the finals against Glen Innes Intermediate. We had an accident during the game but no one was badly injured so we continued playing. We also won this game and we were excited for the finals.
During the finals against Glen Innes Intermediate the game was difficult because their hits were astonishing and their catching skills were accurate and fast. Our hard work didn’t pay off so we lost 5 - 0. It was an overwhelming experience competing in the Inter School Softball.
